summary
cherry cosmos is a man whose insatiable curiosity will probably one day kill him. put him in front of any given machine, and he will pry it apart, learn how it works, and put it back together again.

he’s very passionate about what he does, and he’s friendly enough you almost want to listen to him ramble about it. he’s good at making conversation while he breaks, then fixes your tv or your phone or your radio; really, whatever you’ll hand him and let him mess with. he’s a sharpshooter with a fascination with guns, battle machina and automatons, and airships in particular, but he will gladly tinker with whatever he can get his hands on.

he has a fondness for those with shorter lifespans, and a fascination for the lived experiences of those around him. he enjoys involving himself in the lives of those with less time, because he’s interested in seeing how they use it.
innate traits
like all viera, cherry is very sensitive to the aether around him, and fluctuations in it. a sudden release of large amounts of aether, like from a piece of auracite, would drive him into a frenzy, but who the hell would have a piece of auracite here anyways

his big ol rabbit ears can hear way better than most tiny little human ears can

he can’t jump like a dragoon, but he does have strong bunny legs that he used to use to jump from tree to tree, and he's almost unreasonably strong from years of wood warder training
abilities
despite it being considered a pretty basic level magic, he is very good at glamours and other illusory magic, mostly for obscuring himself. he had to master this during his time as a wood warder
items
a handgun and aetherotransformer, tools for any respectable machinist. the gun can use normal ammunition, or lightning-aspected aether ammunition generated by the aetherotransformer;
an automaton queen, a robot to attack at close range while he fires from afar
interview record
████: How do you feel about the idea of being far from home? Is there anything you’ll miss?
CHERRY: I'm kind of a traveller by nature. I don't know if I'd say I have a home anymore. There's things you miss about every place you go.

████: You seem like a resilient person. Would you say that you are?
CHERRY: You think so? I hope so.

████: Alright, how about this? Describe some of your strengths and weaknesses.
CHERRY: You'd be hard pressed to find a better shot than me. I can lose myself in my work sometimes. I'm pretty good at saying goodbye. You can choose how you want to take that one.

████: Imagine the world ends today. What does that look like to you?
CHERRY: It starts like any other day, in my experience. Last time, people turned into monsters. Maybe this time the earth will open up and swallow us all.

████: Let’s say you’re faced with a twist on the classic trolley problem: a trolley is headed for five people who’ve been tied to the tracks. You could pull the lever and divert the trolley, killing four people. Do you pull the lever? Does it make a difference?
CHERRY: I want to save them all, but I know that's not an option. I pull the lever. Save the many. Life is fleeting, you know?

████: Tell me about a dream you’ve had before. Good, bad… it doesn’t really matter.
CHERRY: I dream about him more nights than I don't. I replay the last time we spoke. I don't imagine he'll ever forgive me, but I loved him. Maybe I still do.
